Terms of Service

1. Agreement to Terms

By creating an account or using Loche, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

2. What Loche Is

Loche lets you leave a message — a "drop" — at a specific real-world location. Other users can only find and open that drop by physically being near it. Drops can include text, photos, or voice notes, and may be password-protected.

3. Your Account

• You must sign in with Google or a passkey to use Loche.
• You're responsible for keeping your account secure and for anything that happens under it.
• You must be able to lawfully use location-based services in your country.

4. Points and Purchases

Points are used to create drops, apply coverage boosts, and unlock other features. Points can be earned for free (a monthly grant, watching rewarded ads) or purchased through Google Play Billing. Points have no cash value and can't be exchanged, transferred, or refunded except where required by law or Google Play policy.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Loche to:

• Post content that is illegal, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit
• Drop messages at locations you don't have the right to place content at, such as private property
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Spoof your GPS location or otherwise manipulate drop distances
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or overload the service

We may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice.

6. Sponsored Drops

Businesses can publish sponsored drops with coupons or offers. Loche isn't a party to any transaction between you and a sponsor, and isn't responsible for honoring a sponsor's coupon or offer.

7. Content Ownership

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting a drop, you give Loche a license to store, display, and transmit that content to the users who find it — that's what makes the app work.

8. Termination

You can delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. See our Privacy Policy for what happens to your data after deletion.

9. Disclaimer

Loche is provided "as is." GPS accuracy varies by device and location, and we don't guarantee a drop will always unlock at exactly the distance you expect. Use good judgment when meeting up with people you've only interacted with through the app.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continuing to use Loche after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
